Brabus DS6 chip for V6 diesel engine

I scan real users opinions that have this chip installed in their vehicles. Brabus offers the DS6 chip that increses the hp from 258 to 306 and the torque with 20 or 40 Nm as far as I remember. Although I'm cautious about such engine enhancements, I guess a brand like Brabus that is tuning exqusitely MB cars cannot afford to sell a chip creating problems since they claim that they take the warranty of the engine on their side. The only problem is I haven't seen a real world user who have installed this chip to give some feedback about its effects on the vehicle. The price of the DS6 chip here is about 2000 Euros. Please if someone has some feedback on the issue, especially from his own experience, let's share it with us!

Wow! +/- $3k for a chip? BTW, I went on the Brabus site and can't find anything pertaining to the bluetek.

Thx for the link. I understand now why I didn't find it. You have a newer GLE, I have a 2013 ML

I haven't checked but I thought thiz chip is for the ML W166 as well, the GLE is just a facelift with different hood and back lights and eventually 9-G tronic instead of 7, the V6 diesel engine is absolutely the same I think.

I'm anxious to see if anyone here has used this product. Pretty darn pricey though....

It's relatively easy to get extra power out of a turbo diesel with just a tune... but this always comes at the expense of engine longevity and reliability. ALWAYS.

51 ps and 70 nm , you don't have to worry with brabus because it doesn't affect warranty. Even if it breaks, you can go to any MB dealer ,get it fixed without any payment.

Theoretically maybe yes, I asked my dealer particalarly the same question and the answer was the warranty will not be valid with the chip.

That is completely wrong. Any tune on any car will void the manufacturer warranty.

Brabus has its own warranty, not dealer. They pay your loss.

Sure they do... for one whole year if your vehicle is more than 6 months old. Dinan also offers a similar warranty. In turn, Brabus and Dinan tunes cost six times as much as other ones as the money for the engines that do blow up during the short warranty period has to come from somewhere.
