’87 420sel cold start and power issues

Hey hey there y’all,

i got got some questions indeed. I’m having an issue with cold starts. I also receive a loss of power at the strangest times however I don’t know that they are related.

Below 65 degrees or so it revs fairly high RPMs before simmering. After that I have to let it warm up a bit or drive it while it’s operating at about half mast. I changed the spark plugs and that helped. Checked for a vacuum leak and replaced a couple of hoses.

Ive also got oil blowing into my air filter housing. Soaks my air filter and I have to replace it every month or so. I drive the car regularly and it has over 300k on it. I’ve been doing lots of research and am thinking about replacing the TPS. Any recommendations? Anyone ever have the same problem?

thanks y’all I really appreciate it.
