2010 S550 4-matic steering shaking
hello guys
One of my buddys just have his CPO 2010 S550 4-matic has 300 miles only with P2 and designo moca color deliverd to his door. I test drive it and it is much better then my 07 S550.
The problem he has is when the car is in the park position if he turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or righ it is shaking, is this normal for 4-matic ?

Steering stop to stop virbration.
Does it do it while in gear and moving? If so, ask dealer about the transaxle.There are service bulletins about motor mounts and transmission valve. I have 2007 and am still chasing a similar action. See thread on "shudder" from maybe three weeks ago.

Vibration
I have two issues. The shudder, plus steering wheel vibration, as yoiu indicated.. I am so tired of mb sa's telling me various fixes I could scream. My 550 4 Matic steering wheel has a strong vibration. I drove my S430 pusher drive the other day and didn't want to get back into the 550. Simply clean driving. Add to that the sound the 550's doors make when power closing compared to no sound with the S430 and there may be a for sale sign hung on the 550, that's how frustrated I am. Thanks for replying.

4-Matic shudder
This may not be at all relevant to your 2010, but I found my answer to two irritants. Vibration through steering wheel at idle and low speeds and "shudder" or vibration at moment of stopping.
Motor mounts replacement cured both ills.
I'm out of warranty. There was a service advisory, which i mentioned to the mb tech, but he ignored. Change transmission and trans axle fluid he said, to fix things. Took to my indie, with service advisory in hand. He said worth the try. Voila'! The old mounts were a full inch + lower/compressed, compared to the new ones. He let everything hang, put on mounts, reconnected and it's like it should be. Shouldn't have to be doing this at under 55,000 miles, but it is what it is.
I owe saving many, many dollars and pinpointing a logical potential solution to this board. The SA listing is phenominal help. The collegial willingness of poster to care and offer thoughts, opinions and experiences was much appreciated. Thanks all!
