I was working with my dealer yesterday on an order for the new 2014 S class so when the order guide comes in we are ready to go. I have a spot for one of the very first production slots.

I am thinking of going out of my comfort zone on this one.

Designo Auburn Brown interior with Piano Black trim and a Designo Magno Cashmere White exterior. I have never seen the Cashmere White. I was thinking about the Designo Mocha Black exterior but my dealer said that color has been around forever and I should try something new.

Anyone seen a Brown interior with a White exterior. Not sure...but thinking it could be striking. Could always wait to see the three new colors for 2014 but I don't remember what the leaked presentation said they are.

Options are easy. I am getting all of them no matter what they are.

Thoughts and suggestions on the color combo would be appreciated.

I would give you suggestions but I dont even know what the options are, you still going with the S65 or 550? do you have any "insider" info on the option packs yet?

What were you thinking for the backseats? Reading the various things on autoblog and other sites where it talks about the option of a regular bench rear seat or the executive 2 seats only with the recline? I'm torn on this, i LOVE the idea of the reclining style backseats but i do usually have 3 people in the back...

depends on how much its going to cost $$$, I think it was Motor Trend that said in a video that the executive seating package of the current Gen was something like $17,000.... so in that case it would be a no for me.

I am about to take delivery of a brown interior (designo) on white exterior (diamond white), that is in a GL though. I'm sure it will look sharp. I'll post pics, just have to be patient till end of month.

That would be great so see that color combo. I love Diamond white. There are three designo browns. They are auburn brown, armagnac and light brown. Which one are you getting?

No insider information. I did however see the online presentation of the new S class that was leaked but has since been taken off the internet. That presentation looked like it contained a list of all the options and there were many new ones.

Yes, there are a lot of new options available. They're incorporating a lot of the options, or sort of things that were options on the Maybach.

It's going to be a great vehicle.

The way I look at is if I was to get a Porsche Panamera it would run me (with the options I want) a minimum 30k EXTRA on top of base price and if you really wanted to go crazy up to $60,000 on top of base price, Mercedes on the other hand will most likely be "fully loaded with everything" for 30k ( assuming the rear seating package has nothing to do with Maybach pricing)

Although I have to say that Mercedes is slowly starting to nickle and dime people for little things since that's where the money is made.

I've only seen Cashmere white on CLS's. It looks incredible. I cant speak about the interior however.

my 2 cents - I wouldn't spring for any of the matte paints. The reviews say they are high maintenance and I personally don't think they look very good. White exterior on brown interior is a great color combo though.

I actually thought that this color came in both matte and gloss. I am not interested in matte.

I heard there is either a disclaimer about matte paint or you have to sign something saying you understand what your getting into..... I know for a fact Hyundai does this with the veloster turbo.

So I guess Cashmere White isn't going to work. So what next with my Auburn Brown interior. Has anyone seen Mystic Brown. Images I have found on the internet do not look too promising.

Yes, anywhere they list Magno before the color name it is a matte paint. Re what color to pick...you have to see it in person, in direct sunlight, at the dealer. Choosing from small swatches is not reliable. The choice will be very easy once you see them in person.
