JUST PLACED MY ORDER TODAY BUT HAVE FEW QUESTIONS ON MBC
Hello All.
I just placed my order today, but I kept it simple since I plan on trading this as soon as the S63 is delivered. is the Magic body control important to have? what exactly does it do?
please review my order and see if I should add anything, I have a few days to finalize my order.
thanks for your help

Front surround camera is supposed to delay the ship date and wouldn't be available on first models; it's in the ordering guide:

I would def sign up for MBC! Look at the videos of it on youtube or on here.

If I were ordering a new S, with plans to keep it only a short time, I wouldn't consider the MBC. You will never see the cost of that option again- I don't believe that it will add one cent to the resale.

Every option adds resale value, but consider that no sane person buys a car as an investment. Spending an extra 4K to tremendously improve the ride quality on a $100K+ car is a no-brainer in my opinion. I would not even think of buying an S-Class without ABC/MBC. Now, I do consider the "Sport" package a waste of money that is also more expensive than MBC. When buying a huge executive sedan, comfort beats a bunch of plastic mods branded "sport" and costing $6K. However, to each their own.

Does anyone know with air balance package if you have to have a scent or can you keep it orderless? Not a fan of adding a different smell to the car.

My understanding is that the S63 is available at the end of 2013. The MBC is not on a used car buyer's "must have" list, particularly a six month old preowned. Given the questions surrounding the option, I think that this option you'll get very little return on.

People pay extra for ABC on the S-Class and this option will most likely be heavily advertised. This is without competition from any brand.
I will wait with my order until I can sit/drive in a couple of cars and see what I like.

And why is that? Why would you suddenly not want your nearly-brand-new S63 feel more comfortable, especially considering that it is still under factory warranty? People buy used cars to get a better deal, not to compromise on options.

I agree also with the point about whatever options you want and not worrying too much about resale. If you're only keeping a car for 6 months you're going to take a bath on it, unless there's some 6 month lease floating around I'm not aware of. On the other hand, if you get one fully loaded and it's in high demand you might not have a problem reselling it if people can't get their hands on one in 6 months. It's all a function of how many they are producing.

I'm slightly confused. Are you trying to order MBC on the S550 or the S63? From what I gather (according to the buyer's guide), MBC is only available on 2WD models which means the S63 won't have it since it's 4matic.
