I saw a W222 in black, with enough dirt and dust caked on it to look like it'd been "in service" for weeks if not months on the roads just being driven around by some guy, well over a month ago. I'm sure that one was a company car of sorts but they have landed on U.S soil long ago in some form or another, so not hard to believe someone has already gotten theirs.
I had said when I saw it that the presence of the car won't be recognizable by the average person from a W221 or even other newer modern Benzes that share the same lines and lights, it really doesn't grab your attention at all aside from the super wide grille, so O/P's examples of it sound authentic and detailed enough to me.

What you don't grasp is that this car hasn't been released for sale yet and amount of money is going to make a dealer sell the demo and risk a legal battle with MBUSA. They demo isn't even the dealers to sell, it is a corporate owned car. I smell a rat here and the car pictured looks like the same car that every dealer around the country just got last week.

Several weeks ago, I saw a similar black S550 on the road as well... But that one had Michigan manufacturer's plates...
I can't believe anyone has taken possession of a retail S550 before the official MBUSA release date.

I agree something is not right here. It doesn't seem possible to buy a S550 in the US before the release date. No dealer wants to take on MBUSA by selling the demo model.

Agreed. It makes no sense. Why would someone lie about owning this car when in a couple weeks a lot of people will be happy owners? Not like you get a prize for being first.
The OP is also a member who had been on these forums a long time. Since '05 I think. Does he own any of the cars in his original avatar?

Manufacturer has very easy control of release date- they just don't issue the titles. The OP was a hoax. The car was exactly the dealer demo spec.

Wow....we're still like children as adult humans. We want to be the "first" to have something and want the credit for it.
Not gonna judge the OP too hard though because I'm guilty of this trait too......I could wait till next fall and get 10 grand off the MSRP, but I'm spending premium because I want it now. The only difference between me and the OP is that I'm not gonna lie about being first. Where I fall is where I fall.....
Besides.....Sam9187 has the take on that title anyway....at least that's my prediction...

Someone from here calling mb and getting them involved bothered me. What kind of person does that.
I guess he should also call and tell on people who do mods to their cars and make sure they void the warranty.
I am just in a very lucky situation. I wanted to share some info but I guess someone had a problem with me and my claims. As I said I will be back on the 15th.
I will have a nice picture for all of you.

Sucks this forum has got to the point to assume someone is a poser right away. It is disturbing that someone would call MB over this. This forum has been going downhill for quite sometime.
