I asked my dealer, but want to ask here too

OK, so, I am not a fan of Wood steering wheels. Thus I was resigned to get the Standard leather. However, I love the Disigno Blue interior and would like to order it WITHOUT a wood wheel. Is there any way to accomplish this to the best of anyone knowledge here? I just asked my dealer, but I thought someone here may be able to shed some light on the subject as well.

Please advise.

Thanks!

In any event, even if you did order standard leather, you would still get the wood steering wheel.

I believe you are incorrect. Standard Leather comes with no wood wheel

You can see it in some of the pictures of the interior. I have confirmed that Standard leather does not have a wood wheel. You need to to get the Nappa leather option or above to have a wood wheel. The extended option guide I have shows a non wood wheel with the Standard leather option.

You can't order the designo Deep Sea blue in the standard leather.

Previously, you could do special orders on MB cars and if they had the item on another car you could make the substitution. This was done for a charge and also added a little bit of time to your production schedule.

Not sure if that is available for 2014 but I would ask.

I know you can't have the blue in std leather... All I want is to delete the wood wheel that comes with any trim package other than std leather.

I think the best idea so far is to order the wheel separate.

I would ask what it would take to do a special order. The steering wheels are expensive, especially if they are different air bags.

It's a costly option, but you could go with a S63 instead. No wood on AMG variants...

Actually, S63 has a wod wheel option, but you are correct, it also offers a leather option.

Maybe you can swap the steering wheel for an AMG one might want to check out the parts catalog for the option.
