I think he meant that the w222 looks more like a Japan model car and less "Mercedes like".

7 series BMW's before 2009 have been beat with the ugly stick and I would stay away from that car. I love V12's but only with forced induction. The old MB V12's before 2003 were highly complex, very expensive to maintain and had nothing to show in terms of performance. Same with the BMW engines.
