Vossen Project W222 S550 with Rear Seat Package Plus
Two days ago we took delivery of the new Vossen Project 2014 S 550 at a launch event at Mercedes Benz of Coral Gables. We had a great time at the event and of course seeing all the new Mercedes models, in particular the new S-class. This was a special order with the hard to find rear seat package plus. It is also equipped with the Sport package. Nice car! You're making white look good with these pics!

As for my personal impressions (and being a Lexus fanboy :D) I was utterly stunned by the craftsmanship of this vehicle. It seemed bespoke and at a level on par with a Rolls or Bentley in regards to the interior. Most of my post will be about the interior as it is really amazing. The materials are first rate and everything flowed pretty well including the huge dual screens up front. They seemed to frame them to look like an iPad including the rear screens so they seemed familiar. The graphics were also first rate and the Command system was pretty easy to use, the biggest issue was there seemed to be 800,000,000 ways to adjust everything :D The two spoke steering wheel didn't look great in pictures but in person it works.
The rear seat package plus is really awesome and perfect for someone who rather be driven or wants their passengers in arguably the best rear seats around. I'm 6"5 and space is ample let alone when you use the "bed" feature where the front seat goes up and a foot rest (leather) pulls out for your feet as you stretch out. This vehicle also has the fridge and cooled rear cup holders (I see room for three wine bottles). The one negative is it does eat up trunk space. The seats are beyond comfortable with some fine leather to the touch. The vehicle of course has internet/wi-fi so it will be a perfect mobile office at car events :D The seats have seemingly unlimited adjustments front and rear. This vehicle has the heated package (which will never be used in Miami :D) and I believe including a heated armrest. Going to have to try that out one day! The sport package includes a different front, rear, sides. We noticed a rear spoiler is a $500 option on another vehicle so we might add that later, it looked pretty good. Another odd thing is while this has the panoramic roof (and the front sunroof itself is just huge) the entire roof is not black, there is a pretty wide strip in the rear the color of the car. That will get wrapped. We rode in it briefly (full driving review to come) and it felt like riding on a cloud, quiet and beyond comfy. Everyone who has seen the interior is utterly blown away by it. There haven't been much comments on the exterior, its a safe redesign. More to come soon! In case someone is interested in specific specs... http://i42.tinypic.com/2vkib9h.jpg |

Very nice. Can you post more pics of the nut brown interior where the color of the leather is more visible?

iPhone pic of what is to come…. 22x9 and 22x10.5 new Vossen CVT's. www.vossencvt.com http://i39.tinypic.com/n3kv3s.jpg |
This car was made for big wheels. IMO 20"s are a must. The smaller sizes look swallowed up.

A very nice bit of kit!

How does the ride differ from 19's & the 20's?
I love the look of the 20's but do not want to give up ride quality. |
Thanks everyone:)

So that's what the new showroom looks like. Last I was there the offices were upstairs in the parking lot while they did the reno. My dad bought his first benz there about 30 years ago.
Car looks amazingly fantastic. |
Ooohhh datum the CV-T looks great on the W222!
|
THank you everyone…..the tune from Renntech was ridiculous…car feels significantly faster and even with the wider wheels/tires if you floor it be careful….I believe we gained around 120hp….
They are testing the vehicle for the lowering module for the W222 so we will have updates after SEMA and we plan for a track run :D |

Hello Mike,
I am a hardcore AMG OEM wheel guy but I did see your wheels last week and love them!!!! Talk to me about the 22" on the S???? I would be really scared to go that far off from the 20". Have you driven the s with 22"???? Thanks, P
