Magic Sky Control
Does anyone have any info on the Magic Sky Control on the 2015 S?
I am trying to figure out whether the roof can still be opened and if there is a sliding cover as it is now.

Wait, no longer available? It was never avail yet, was it?. It was something that they were adding to the S class. Hmm.

This option has also disappeared from list of optional equipment in NetStar. I saw this myself as I was building my S in the system (yes, the dealer allowed me to take control of his computer and essentially build my own car and submit the order to MB - it was a fascinating experience!)

So, it was never available, and continues to be unavailable for all year S's. Correct?
I guess this is where they say, "never believe your salesman" in some instances, or Mercedes own website for that matter.

Let's just say "there are some unforeseen challenges". Can be technical, can be logistical, can be anything else. The true story is unknown to us, consumers.
A similar situation currently surrounds another optional item called AMG Performance Steering Wheel (code 281). It was initially marked as "available as extra cost" for S63, and "undecided if extra or no-cost" for S65. Later on, it was removed from the list of options and noted as "not available". God knows what happened.

They probably got a little too excited, then thought, "Hey, let's wait 3-4 years and offer this for the refresh".
I'm willing to bet they also do the AMG sport package like the previous models were done:

Link to the older (and seemingly outdated) MY2015 DOG since this one indicates September availability for Magic Sky Control:

Shamelessly ripped from another commenter.

Magic sky gets the manual screen as well as the magic function on the s class coupe according to the MB UK press release about this model. Realise this may be academic for you now given other comments about its current availability on the saloon. As a former F10 M5 owner myself I can understand your desire for a swap into something smoother. Hope your order moves fast.

I would have gotten the magic sky control if there was a screen. I like it to be completely dark when I want to. Doesn't matter as it's not available on MY15 anyway.
