When you first get in and try to move your legs side to side, it is a little more cramped because of the center console. Front to back, it seems to be the same.
The upper part, because of the screens on the back of the front seats, is more cramped, as my W221 did not have them. As I mentioned, at the feet, I think it is similar.
When you sit in the back, the pure luxury of everything makes any feeling of being cramped, not apparent.

With the rear seat package, comes the ability to adjust the seats. That option is called "power outboard rear seats with memory." If one adjusts them forward, the amount of legroom will decrease.

I actually just got it this week. I had been on a trip when it arrived at my dealer. I had it one day then had to leave again.
I got the Verde Brook color which is nice in the sunlight, but is not very noticeably different than the blacks in photographs. I have the beige interior - I like lighter interiors. I just ordered a set of brown Lloyd plush mats for the interior because I'm worried about the wear on such light mats - I hope that it will be a close match to the top of the dash.
I plan on posting some photos and comments once I get the mats, since I think that will be useful for others to see how well these work.

I did pick up the all weather mats for winter, and looking for something nice for the summer. I am definitely going to destroy the silk beige mats!

@lovin Mercedes. Thanks for a detailed description of a journey I am getting ready to embark on. Just waiting for the 2016 guide to come out and if no major changes go with 2015. I will be ordering the deigno silk beige/red interior. I may pop in here to ask your advice. I might go to the same dealer as you. i hope that is OK with you.

Finally, the steering wheel trim arrived. Now they just need to install it, very carefully, with a lot of attention paid to not scratching it.

You have a PM.
Not sure anyone publicly knows these answers yet. The DOG should answer the wheel choices. I am not sure about what is the last year before the mid-cycle facelift. Obviously, its either MY16 or MY17.

They may delay the facelift - the new maybachs will be delivered to customers soon - can't believe MB would facelift the S Class a year after a titan gets his maybach - immediately out-dating it.

So basically $10K to get the Emerald Green Paint and Green piping. That seems to be ~the cost of custom ordering stuff if you were to make a similar car as a one off from MB.

It's actually not that bad, if that is the color combination you are looking for, when compared to standard custom options.
Of course, this reasoning depends upon one feeling the basic custom charges are reasonable.

A custom paint job is a minimum of $10,000. If you look at the options individually, basically, they are giving you the custom piping for free.

BTW do you think that's our friend in New Jersey that made the typo on "Emerald Edition" on the window sticker? hehe

Waiting for my replacement leather headrests. I was told they shipped almost two weeks ago.
Also waiting on new floor mats which are being produced now.
