I'd like an Aurora Borealis roof, the hell with moon and sun

You guys clearly don't get the engineering and limitations involved with the coupe roof. All that glass would have to slide out and over the top of the roof. That would create a lot of wind buffeting and look terrible, like a 90's Ford Probe or something. There is far less space for the sunroof with the coupe. Now they could have gone with a regular size roof, but then you would complain about it not being a pano roof or that it was too small.

some people have a nack for defending against any criticism of their beloved Benz and assume people don't know what they are talking about. it's quite funny actually.

The interior is unbelievable. Best Mercedes in the last few years. The car is sheer quality and has topped the CL in every way I can think of. Didn't think that was possible but it is true.

I stopped by Plano today, this car is absolutely stunning. Such quality and beauty, didn't have time to drive it, but man what a car. All the dealers apparently got the same car, Plano's demo looks just look like this one: The interior is unbelievable. Best Mercedes in the last few years. Yep, huge piece of glass. Appears to be fixed, no one at the dealership knew for sure and I didn't really sweat it. There are 2 separate switches for the power shade and one of them appears to be positioned so you can tilt the glass up, but nope. It is at stunning car, Mercedes' best car IMO. Dripping quality and luxury, it even has a sporty growl when you start it up. M

its huge, and VERY nice. Definitely NOT a deal breaker, but unfortunate. I've had a Pano roof on my cars for some time now, and I've maybe opened it 2 or 3 times, but sucks that you cannot at least tilt it.
Will be definitely asking the "WHY" question a lot to Mercedes when they stop by..

I have not seen the car but am moving forward with one that does not have magic sky roof. I wanted that option but it wasn't available for my build. I wish too that the roof could either be open or at least tilted but like you I don't often open the roof on my existing cars.

Im hoping it's a production thing.... that it will be available later in production. Because the button functions the exact way that tilt and everything should, just obviously does nothing.

I'm used to it so it doesn't bother me, but my 650i roof does at least tilt up, but I hardly ever use it. I would bet they've done some research into this and found that most don't open them anyway so they decided to make it a big piece of glass to flood the cabin with light. Believe me this car is so off the chart stunning you won't care about the roof.

Anyways all of these Edition Ones are specced with the high end sound system. There are NO moving tweeters in the front cabin like on the sedan's mirror triangles. There is also no ceiling speaker in the middle of the headliner like the S Sedan (between the two panes of pano glass). The high end sound pretty much looks like the standard Burmeister sound on the sedans (metal grilles everywhere).

I think you were asking about the Burmeister High End on the S Coupe before... forgive me if it wasn't you.

"24 specially designed speakers, 24 channels of amplification with a total of 1,520 watts of system power and developed exclusively for the vehicle technologies ensure an unusually expressive, spatial and fascinating sound - the Burmester 'feel-good sound'."
If there is no roof speaker and no tweeters - where are these 24 speakers???
