Pulled the Trigger, Lease questions

Pulled the trigger on an inbound S550 to my dealership today. Iridium/Black, loaded, with sticker around 122k. Car should arrive in a week or so. Anyone know the residuals and money factors from MBUSA.? Will probably do a 30 or 36 month lease. Any Decemeber factory incentives as well? Thanks!

The difference between a 30 month lease and a 36 month lease with the residuals is very little. Less than $100 a month.

I would go with 30, it is a better deal. There is very minimal financial benefit to the 36 months.

Money factor is .0024 but checking on this rate, because other sources seem to say there are special MF rates for November.

December Winter Event is $4,000 incentive on a 2015 S class.

Congrats on the new car. Looking forward to pictures.

Thanks for the info. I hope the 4k December money is still available. Do you know the residuals on the 30 or 36 month, 12k miles per year?

Sorry, but I don't. I looked at this recently with the dealer and the residual difference is minimal, but I do not remember the exact amount.

The Winter Event $4,000 incentive is until the end of the month.

For which car? Another member on the forum also said .0024 and when I asked my dealer, he showed me on paper.

Also, can you please post the link for that area of Edmunds. I had looked before but could not find it.

I'm always skeptical when a vendor shows me something as proof just like the 1095 lease origination fee "straight from MBFS" that's really 795 + 300 dealer markup

I am going to double check the money factor with my dealer.

Another link, you can see more history and info here. FWIW, edmunds has been the gospel on true rates, and I only get there in the 11th hour when each dealer realizes that I do have a competing dealer.

Can anybody confirm the money factor for top tier for a 15 S550? I've seen numbers all over the map from 0.00135 to 0.00240. Huge difference! Residuals for 30 and 36 months? I'm also confused about the 4k December money on the S. Is that 4k I should get off msrp in addition to any negotiated discount? Thanks

I am currently negotiating a lease on a new 2015 S550 and here is a direct quote from the sales manager when I asked what the money factor was: ".00150. This is marked up .00020 per our store policy." I have top tier credit. Anyone wish to comment?

So this is consistent with edmunds, 13 is the true top tier MF. Thank you.

Most dealer show/quote the retail MF.

Streamliner is pointing to the buy rate MF. Same as retail vs wholesale. The difference is what the dealer makes on any leased car even if sold at/below invoice. If you know the buy rate you can negotiate with the dealer.

Unlike the BMW forums where people share the dealer and rate details and many forum members get better deals as a result, very few people on the MB forums share their info.

Very helpful, info guys. Looks like the buy rate is around .00130 for top tier? Still a little confused about the 4k December money. Is that money that comes out of the dealer's pocket or from MBUSA? If I negotiate 5% off, Can i expect to get another 4k for the December money? Thanks.

The $4,000 essentially comes off the cost of the vehicle to the dealer. If you negotiate a 5% discount that should be in addition to the $4,000. The $4,000 is coming from Mercedes Benz as a further discount. You negotiate the price and you should subtract $4,000 from that. The $4,000 is not coming out of the profit of the dealer.
