When I ordered my car, the dealer said he needed a $5K deposit, only because I wanted the 18" wheels, as the car would be "difficult to sell," if I didn't end up taking it. Just goes to show how far this large diameter wheels/low profile tire madness has gone.

You probably won't find a car with 18" wheels sitting on any dealer lot, pretty much special order only.

That's funny. Car deposits are refundable by law in CA.
I didn't see your build in your prior posts. Are you running Airmatic or MBC?? I'm curious to know if there's much difference with these suspensions on 18's.

You are correct, and I'm quite sure I could have gotten my deposit back, had I canceled. I think it's a way of getting their point across that you will be saddling them with a car they don't want. No big deal anyway, as I knew I wanted the car.

I got MBC. I had 18's & ABC on my 2013 & loved it. I'm a ride quality freak and want the very best I can get, so for me, ordering a car without MBC was not an option.

Yes, MBC on 18's would be very rare. Did u test drive one with Airmatic on 18's to compare? If so, what was the difference like?

No, I never drove a non MBC car with 18's. Such cars, for the most part, do not exist on dealer lots and secondly, I just wanted my car with MBC and was not interested in comparing.
