Well, depends on what you mean by fully recline. It obviously doesn't turn into a bed like a First/Business Airplane seat (which btw. would be the worst position in case of an accident), but would be comfortable for a 6'2 person. It's an additional 8" rear space to the stock S550 long (US) version.

I personally thought the extra 8" would be enough for the seats to recline with the footrests out and not impede on the front seats' legroom but from photos I've seen, this doesn't appear to be the case.

What I mean is for the driver's side rear to recline to the max position to match the passenger side rear (which I realize isn't flat). Because when you recline to the max position on the passenger side, the front passenger seat moves forward... if you recline the driver side rear to the max position, does this become uncomfortable for that passenger because obviously the driver's seat wont' move forward. I personally thought the extra 8" would be enough for the seats to recline with the footrests out and not impede on the front seats' legroom but from photos I've seen, this doesn't appear to be the case.
Keep in mind that the Maybach 57 was a foot longer than the Maybach Mercedes and didn't have reclining seats either. Only the even longer Maybach 62 did.

This is actually a nice $25k option package for the s600
I hope most s600 buyers opt for the maybach version , so that I can buy a cheap used maybach in a couple years

I am not certain but believe the drivers side doesn't recline like the passengers side or even have have a footrest for that matter.

The odd thing is the shorter S Maybach has these leg rest contraptions while the Maybach 57 did not.

Here are the leg rests and footrests. Apparently, both sides have leg rests, although not the same. I suspect this has to do with the fact that the driver's front seat does not move forward like the passenger front seat. The passenger side has the foot rest while the driver's side does not.
