Any word on 2016 S550

My listing just shows that last two bodies were 7 model years each- 3 years for initial and 4 years for facelifted.
The model may indeed be longer with introduction date but I am assuming such for depreciation, market value, etc purposes only.

Mercedes track record of ever updating anything when the refresh comes hasn't been good. They make a few small changes and then wait to bring all the tech to the next body and the next body.... Hopefully that changes and they finally add some LTE Internet that just about every new GM is getting.

Strangely, I have noticed that the leather on prefacelift S-Class feel much better than facelifts. Wonder if it will be like that. As much as I am anxious to see the Facelift, I think the W223 is gonna be a good looker. I loved the W140 styling, not much for the W220, LOVED the W221, hated the W222.

I guess we'll have to see when they will facelift the car. With newer tech and shorter attention span of consumers, things could definitely change.
But you are making the S-Class life cycles sound much shorter than they actually are. They are typically 7 years or even longer, not the six years based on your listing.
In the past, there was a much longer timespan for US model introductions. That was different with the W222.
Given the rapid US roll-out of the car (just 3 months later), they compressed the 2014 model year and stretched the 2015 year.
Here are the full model life cycles:
W220: August 13, 1998 – July 20, 2005 = 7 years (give/take a month).
W221: August 2005 – June 3, 2013 = almost 8 years.
W222: June 2013 (but in the US already in Sept. 2013)

Perhaps it hasn't aged much, but I'm not sure it is loved much either. I really do feel that the front end and the rear could look so much better with a little mid-cycle tweaking. Overall, the car is growing on me, but when I walk up to it, I'm still not thrilled with its looks, as I was with my 2013.

I loved the look of my 2008 S550 4matic. But I love my 2014 S550 4matic look just as much. For me, it is just different in looks. But I like the Sport model with the 19" AMG wheels while, if I recall, you despise the sport model. Good thing there are different variants such as Sport vs. Non-Sport to appeal to different people.

Hoping the ordering guide comes out at least a few weeks ahead of when the order banks open...I want to see what the changes are before I decide on the color combination. I think as long as I have the order in by 6/30 I can pick it up the first week of October in Sindelfingen.

Latest info from Austin, Tx dealer is that the 2016 S class order bank opens on April 15th! I will try and confirm tomorrow at the NYC Auto Show.

I could be wrong but my understanding was that the last day to process orders for the 2015 S Class is April 15th and the order banks for the dealers do not open until June 15th with production starting June 1st for the 2016 MY. One could certainly place orders with dealers from April 15th until June 15th but MBUSA will not accept or provide a PO. My information could be dated so clearly I could be wrong but that was my understanding.

Very sorry, no evil intended. I am out of town and don't have access to my computer. My iPhone won't allow me to download it and post it.
I just wanted to let people know, and was hoping maybe someone else had it. I will be back later today.

Oh ok we will "cut you some slack".
When you get a chance it would be great to see the 2016 S order guide.
Thanks in advance.
