Hi everyone, my local dealer has one 2014 S550 left on the lot. The MSRP is $117,120 and they want $97,994 plus tax and license for it. How much should I pay for it? Thank you so much!!

When I added up the options provided on the link you posted it adds up to 107k not the 117k shown on the site. I would ask for the window sticker.

I'd want around >20% off correct MSRP since you can get a 2015 for 10-15% depending how hard you work the deal

And I'd ask to see the VMI

I've been monitoring 2014 S550's and that one is a really good deal. almost every option and under 90k. The best part of the CPO is the unlimited mileage warranty. I would just pay to extend the years on it to max it out (I think 3 years more is the max after original 4/50 runs out) since I keep my cars a long time.

The dealer overstates the options - as an example the car does not have the 3D sound system - just the standard one. It's a good deal but but I always worry about dealers that overstate the options.

Buy it. That's a good deal even though its a '14. Amounts to almost 17% off. Same car as a '15. In the future you will always have a low mileage '14. Understand that the dealer has a $3K incentive from the factory on that car. That might leave a little wiggle room.

But we aren't sure the msrp is 117 its closer to 107 with my calculations.

How do you know it does not have the 3D sound system? Just curious.

Attached is the Datacard from Daimler in Germany.


Looks like the car has the 3D sound system plus Magic Body Control.

The photo posted online do not show the special 3D tweeter in the door by the window. Just shows the standard black one . The data card says "high end sound system" not 3D.

Right. However, code 811 High end sound system is the 3D system. My '14 S550 4matic has the standard system with Code 810 Premium Sound System--std in the US.

If it has everything you want I would go for it. I would personally want some of the rear seat options instead, but that's just my opinion.

I like how they mentioned that it has the Driver Assistance Package, not once, not twice, not three time, but four times. However, this dealer at least lists the options that are on the car. I love going seeing listings that say things like AM/FM radio, power windows and mirrors, etc.

Walk in to the dealer and introduce yourself to this gal, and then ask her to have someone else sell you the car!
