I understand that reducing the cap cost on a lease is a bad idea due to not being able to recover it in the event of a total loss (theft or accident), but does the same apply to the one-pay lease? Or is there another reason why you feel the one-pay lease is a bad idea?

No change for OCT (still at $5,000.00). It appears MB is waiting for Nov/Dec to step things up, which is not unusual for them.

What are the amex silverstar and guest appreciation bonus? And how much discount do each of them give? Thanks

If you have an AMEX Mercedes-Benz credit card AMEX gives you $500 a year if you spend $5,000 within that year. Guest Appreciation Bonus is from Mercedes for attending one of their sponsored events. It has a shelf life of 180 days from date of event and is also worth $500. Both can be combined with most MBFS programs including LAP (Lease Acceleration) and MB Club discount.

I was told 3 months just today...

But in the Spring of 2015 they told me 5mo. I guess it changes based on how badly they wanna sell cars.

Any update as of 10/18 on closeout '15 deals?

Looking to pull the trigger, want to make sure I am timing this right with the dealer. Currently own three BMWs, planning on selling my '13 7-series and joining the MB world. Would think they would be very interested in me coming over to the other german team. Current MSRP in the 120-122K range.

Scott, unfortunately currently there are no Conquest programs going on that I am aware of. MBUSA used to leverage Conquest programs to bring in car buyers from competing brands (BMW, Audi, Lexus, etc). I leveraged these programs a few times in the past as I also had other competing German brands. When I went in the other day, they were not offering the program.

So basically the difference between a 2016 and a 2015 right now is 5k off and 6% better residual. Plus a little bit better MF

It also seems you can get 3-5% more off MSRP on a 2015.

Shame I can't find what I want on a 2015. All these factors equate to 200-300 less a month. White (exterior) on black (interior) loaded cars are hard to find

Essentially and as it stands now, you may very well be better off with 10% on a 16 vs 15 on a left over 15.

Hope you can get close to what you want. We had to settle on a different exterior color than what we wanted to get the bengal red/black interior on our 16 S500 coupe that's coming rather than wait.

I'd venture to guess the incentives will be much better especially where there's lots of inventory like S's in the SE region...they might even go 6 mos on the pull forward program but that may be a bit optimistic.

Any latest data points on this? I am looking to buy, but want to maximize the discount. Is 20% off happening? more?

18% is the best I can do here, I'm negotiating a lease, so they either lower the price or lower the money factor, but not both, however all things considered I think there are good deals out there with the surplus of '15's, I'm currently negotiating and am at discount of 18% and MF .00037 MSRP 118k, however on another vehicle MSRP 108k same discount but MF .00087

As another reference point, I was able to secure a one-pay lease with a MF .00001 and 15% discount.

just to clarify, was the 6 month early termination offered from Mercedes Benz Financial Services towards a new lease of a 2015 S Class?

I'm being told the pull ahead lease program is currently 3 months. I'm waiting until Nov 2nd to see if it might be more...

Steinhart, the official MBFS program in October 2015 is 3 month pull-forward. I took advantage of this for my 2015 S.

It was a MBFS lease. I'm waiting to order a '16 for European Delivery in the Spring.

Cheers,

As I'm sure some of you all know today is the last day of the OCT pricing. I'm hoping that the winter event starts tomorrow.

Current Trunk Money is

2016 S550 = $2,500
2015 S550 = $5,000

When these numbers change if someone could post the new ones that would be great.

Thanks

I don't think it changed. They might be waiting for December to really step it up. Still waiting for my contacts to go to work to verify my suspicion
