Did the RIGHT THING.. Maybach s600
I been batching about my 2016 s63 issues for 10 months...
Local Mercedes FINALLY did the right thing...
(gave me a deal I could refuse...
Only problem it's on a maybach s600... Lol..)
Huge driving difference from s63..
Amazing how much smoother the Trans is...
What do you guys think of rims??
Black w/porcelain inside...
Stock
22" Renntech

well...start off with a set of Ghost Motorsports lowering links. The tire gap with large wheels and tires makes it look odd. Lowering it will give it a sporty stance. Which is exactly what you're looking for. I lowered mine 1.0-1.3 in the front and 1.3-1.5 in the rear. Theyre ~300-400.00. Best money i've spent.
On the flip side...i'm giving you my opinion, which means nothing. Its your car, your rims...if you like them, enjoy them. IMO, i'd get a set of ADV1s or HREs. I like simple and clean lines. You may want something "over the top".
I have a couple larger photos of my car in the W222 S63 section.
Start with lowering the car...it makes a huge difference.

Much more relaxing drive and no frustrating transmission to deal with.
Get Renntech ECU and performance will be even better.

Opinions are welcomed..
I too like clean & aggressive...
I had 21" Renntech brushed 10 spoke on my s63...
But because the maybach s600 was sooo long it made me feel like it needed alil more flare..
P. S...
Adv1 made Renntech when I bought both sets before.. I stopped dealing with Renntech, so don't know who they use now.
(i also wanna put a s65 lower front bumper or a brabus or I saw one on here but can't remember the name)
Did Lowering take much away from the ride??

I'm scared to deal with Renntech again.. Lol...
I don't wanna "bash" but had terrible terrible expirence with them the last few times.. As did my great friend...
(simply... they will sacrifice "your" car in the name of a sale... NOT COOL... & customer service is below par)
So I would be scared BUT.. AGREE... would like to give it some extra ***..
Any suggestions besides them would be much welcomed..
(it's sooo hard because Renntech is somewhat local)

Congrats on the S600! I really like the way MB designed the new Maybach. IMO I think that your stock wheels look a lot better than the current after markets that you have on, but once again this is just my opinion. However, if you are only interested in aftermarket, than I'd suggest a set of really nice Brushed HRE's.
Nevertheless, thanks for sharing the pics

Congratulations on the excellent purchase sir! If I may chime in - HRE is the way to go for your particular vehicle. And if you go with any HRE finish besides the Brushed Clear on your black S-Class you would be doing your car an injustice. Let me know if I can help you out with anything. As HRE's largest dealer in the world I've got all the into and deals you need.

Amazing news, glad your dealer stepped up to the plate and delivered
For the "look" you need to decide what to do with the wheels
I agree with others, brushed HREs would be perfect especially with all that brushed window trim like this (I know, it's like telling you to buy Coke by showing you Pepsi)

But, if you want to go black on the wheels, I think at a minimum you need to black out the window chrome

2016 S550
Congrats on your 600!
I don't like the rims in pic 1, but can't say I'm nuts about #2 either. My local dealer had a new S63 with those same daisy rims in #1, that were taken off an S550 because the buyer of the 550 wanted the 5 stars that were on the S63 - and they swapped them out! I don't think that's not the right size rim for an S63 though.
Regardless of which mfg or style you go with, I think 22" on these cars is a bad idea. Hit one pothole or drive on a damaged road and you're going to bend a wheel. Even stock 20" rims is risky on these cars and others of similar size/weight. I had 20" HREs on another full size sedan and bent it without even knowing, not to mention it rode like crap.
BTW, what was wrong with you S63?

Well, only because you asked:
1. I happen to think that the W222 looks best in Maybach trim. The extended length works great with the basic design.
2. That said, I think that unless you will be riding in the back seat most of the time, folks will mistake you for the chauffeur, running errands, as the car just doesn't look right as a personal driver.
3. The stock wheels you show look nice, but IMO, the ONLY wheels that belong on a Maybach are those lovely, Maybach exclusive dish type wheels, which I feel look just amazing. Here's a photo. They only come on the Maybach and I feel that they really complete the look of the car.
4. Putting on custom wheels like these 22's you show, make the elegant Maybach look ridiculous. The Maybach is a stately, elegant, limousine and all this talk of lowering it, putting custom wheels on and making it "aggressive" looking will make others think "there goes some rich guy with lots of money and no taste," buts that's just my, humble opinion.

wow!
while the wheels are not horrible, something a little less flashy would be good....a simple 5 spoke, or maybe a mulitspoke
whichever way you go, it'll be fine! that's a hell of a car!

I want given the option of plate rims...the dealership I went to.. Discounted (took off) every maybach on the lot 3D high end upgrade in order to upgrade to the plate rims.. & the 3D wasn't something I was going to go without.. So I ended up with turbines, which I couldn't stand..
Hence I put a pair of rims I had ordered for my s63...
Again ONE thing is for sure...
The car makes a statement...
What that statement is???
I will leave it up to each individual that looks.. To formulate their own fantasy of who /what I am...
ALL the while I WILL ENJOY the car for what it is.... A tool to make life more comfortable/convienant for me & my friends/family
I really appreciate /enjoy everyone's input

are the door jambs by chance in the same chrome that adorn the window trim? I remember the old models that had the chrome door jambs

when you configure one online they give you ONE pic of the backseat.......you also have to still add things on even at that price point......splitscreen for example
