A/C thermostat

Does anyone know where the thermostat for the cabin temperature is located? Sometimes, I will get an unexpected blast of warm/hot air when A/C running.

Read your owners manual and or look at the AC control unit dials--that is how you set the driver and passenger side temp-----however what you say sounds like you are very low on refrigerant-----see and AC shop to test the system!!

Good idea.
The question was, where the thermostat? In dash?, in overhead controls area for moon roof? Under the dash? Above the analog clock?

The sensor in the overhead control panel is not repeat is not a thermostat---what it is ------is a cabin temp sensor--there is no AC thermostat as such!!

I'm sorry I created such a tempest with such a simple question. Good grief. Hell, I'll ask my service adviser. I don't need this.

I have attached the section from the owners manual that discusses the climate control system. As you can see, this has a ton of pages so happy reading

I think the OP is attempting to figure out what helps regulate the temperature. There are two little domes, one on the top of the front dashboard and one on the rear decklid behind the rear seats. These are sensors that help control the temperature when one calls for a certain temperature on the front or rear climate control buttons.

Hope this helps.

I always thought the two domes were used to judge the angle of the sun, and aided in the system keeping the correct temp, or does the GPS and time calculate the sun angle? For instance if the detector sensed a lot of sun on the right hand side then more cooling, etc would go there. I did not think they were temperature sensors.
