Is there a way to have the Nav still announce directions while you are on a phone call?

Yes, good answer.... but not an answer to the question. On some GM cars, there is a setting that it will still announce upcoming turns so to keep eyes on road. I hate to turn off Bluetooth on phone just to get it to announce through speakers..

Do you mean you do get navigation announcements except during a phone call? I thought you could not configure comand that way (either mute navi announcements completely or have announcements also during a call.

In the navigation screen select "Option" and then "Settings" where there is an option for "Audible info during phone call"
