Dash cams

I just replaced the DashCam of my daily driver with a Thinkware F770. I used to have a Blackvue 650. IMHO they are both decent dashcams. The Thinkware I prefer because it records full 1080P both front and rear.

I am tempted to buy another one and make it quad channel so I am covered front, rear, left and right.

The #1 most important aspect of a dash cam is video quality. They must be able to do full 1080P at 30 FPS at a minimum and the best cameras also do a great job with night time videos where you can still make out license plates. For this to be accomplished effectively the dash cam needs to be of a certain size.
I am a huge tech geek and generally buy the best technology I can find and the two cameras I suggested are the best of what I have found.
I especially like the night time capabilities of the Thinkware. That's what we just installed in our Tesla.

Buy a quality dash cam with the highest available resolution (at least 1080P BOTH front and rear) and frame rate (at least 30). Also higher end dash cams have Parking Mode that is quite effective for tracking down any damage/vandalism while you are away.
Here's an example of dash cam Parking Mode footage that resulted in a perpetrator being tracked down, arrested, and slapped with 3 felony charges. If not for the dash cam there likely would have been no arrest.

WTF Gets addicting..
We have Dash Cams installed in each of our cars. IMHO this is a necessity.

I posted this in another thread as well - but for those of you who installed dash cams in your W222 S550 - where did you pick up a switched 12V power source? I'm trying to find a place for my hardwire kits.
Thank you...
