i am leasing but didn't ask the residual and MF. I got Tier 1 pricing. Trying to validate they aren't marking up the MF before I take delivery. Car docks in Baltimore tomorrow.

thank you, if you can update me I would appreciate it. My dealer saying residual is 50% 36 month 10k a year. Seems low to me. I have purchased/leased 7 cars from this dealership and they always did right by me. They quoted me $1423 36 month 10k a year. $2k drive off on msrp $109k. My last s550 was 2013 and the deal was $1020 36 month 10k a year. $2k driveoff msrp $108k.

Why is that payment so high if you got 17k off?

I'm in the Dayton/Cincy area shopping right now and it appears nobody really wants to deal. I have been quoted 1635 (including 7.5% sales tax) on at $120,510 car. Did the Truecar.com search and they "Guaranteed Savings" price is $110,763. Leasing rates don't appear to be what they used to be. I'm just coming off a M5 lease with a sticker of 118k and was paying $1219 that included wheel and tire protection.

If anyone has any great tips on negotiating, let me know!

Haven't checked lease info lately but the MF is crazy high. Did you negotiate that one?

it should be somewhere at 0.009 or less (I assume you are also off by a digit )

Will negotiate tomorrow as I just learned the Buy Rate is .00095. So they're marking it up 16bps

The rate will drop as the year progresses.

true. I want to take full advantage of the 5mth pull ahead benefit and I'm 5,000 miles over my current MB lease.

Why do you think his projected MF is too high? It equates to about 2.66%.

Some of the better rates when buying instead of leasing today are about 2.29% to 2.44%.

Not sure I would say 2.66% (.00111 MF) is crazy high.

Certain MB models always have very attractive MF rates, some don't. The S550 does and anything above .001 is too high. At launch in 2014 the rates were much higher of course.

It's important for MB to outsell BMW in that segment so they typically have good incentives around.

I am surprised that the buy rate isn't lower. Are you sure this is the buy-rate?

The rate I was quoted yesterday was .0025, 51% Residual.

$120,510 MSRP
-13,510 Discount
$107,000 Sales Price

36 Month Lease, 10k miles @ $1,400 per month ($2,900 due at signing) or $52,000 one pay.

I like the idea of the one pay if my savings was a little better. At this point, it only saves me $1,300 over 3 years. The big question I have is what happens if I total the car? Am I out the 52k?

At .0025, how does that effect the price compared to what you think is a good deal? What should it be? Really interested in the one pay if I can save enough.

In the USA are there car portals like this?

https://quotes.carwow.co.uk/car_conf...name=S63L+Auto

...where you configure your car, then submit it via one click to main dealers nationally who then quickly bid for your business. You always get the top 5 best offers to choose from or decline. You then end up completing the transaction with the main dealer of your choice.

UK MB buyer's also use services like this to generate genuine main dealer offers, then take the offers to their local preferred dealer to see if they can meet or better them.

Either way 15-25% off MRSP is not uncommon.

Are you asking how 6% interest effects payments on a lease? I assume you can calculate that. Worse rate I have seen on an S-Class in years. Even AMG's have better rates

You seem to be keen on as single payment; something I wouldn't be interested in. Putting down upfront money for minimal savings

Just make sure that you don't have any exposure in case of total loss or in case you decide to jump into another car early (pull aheads, etc.)

Horrible rate for MF/interest rate.

Either the dealer has just figured out how to make a significant amount of profit or the potential lessee has poor credit.

Lease details are important not just the monthly payment.

It doesnt add up, your mf is high but your monthly payment for a $120k is pretty good.

Settled at $49,500 so I did the one pay. One pay saved me about $5,600. Car ended up being discounted from $120,510+rear spoiler, + window tint, + hardwiring my radar detector to $106,000.

So I figure full MSRP would be around $121,210. I essentially got them down $15,210. Even got the speech that they were not making any money and the sales person didn't get anything.

I confirmed that I have gap coverage and that I get refunded any unused month at 100% if the car is totaled.
