When I travel long distances out to the desert or mountains I like to carry around a spare wheel in the truck. Calling a tow truck or driving 150 miles on a run flat is not an option.
The S550s runs 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear. I'm considering buying a matching 19x8.5 front wheel to carry long distances as the spare. Would it work for all four (4) corners?
So my question is this: if I got a flat tire in the rear could I change out the rear with the front? The rolling diameter is basically the same, but would a front 19" Mercedes wheel clear the rear brake cailpers on the back?
Heck, even my E63 AMG and CLS550 came with a donut that I swapped out with full sized wheels. Thanks in advance.
