Looking at 2017 S550 4Matic
Let me know what you think of this deal...
MSRP of 120,510
Discount -9,997
Total 111,348
I was looking into leasing and they quoted me $1,575 plus $1,095 acquisition fee, plus $310 for docs, title, and taxes due at signing. This is a 36 month lease with 10k miles per year.
I am use to BMW's MSD's (multiple security deposits) to get the payment down. My last car was $118k and my payment was $1,100. Doesn't sound like Mercedes does anything like that.
Any thoughts on whether this is fair or should I keep shopping. My luck would be to get into a car and then find out everyone is getting 20k off sticker, lol.

Your number is quite high. There is a $5500 discount from MB alone which means your dealer is only taking $4400 off the car. With a facelift coming imminently the discount should be much higher.

Just got back from the dealer. Here is where we are...
$120,510 MSRP
-$13,510 Discount
$107,000 Sales Price
*They are installing a rear spoiler, 20% tint on windows and hard wiring my V1.
36 Month Lease with 10k miles $1,400, with $2,900 due at signing.
or
$52,000 One pay lease.
Residual based on 51% and money factor of .0025. At the end of the lease the buyout is $61,460
Thoughts??

My wife works for P&G and she said they can't double up the discounts. Not sure if that is true or not.
By doing the spoiler $500, tint $250+/-, hardwiring the radar, $150+/-, along with the discount off MSRP of $13,510 I figure I am looking at a total discount of about $14,410. Gut feeling is that it seems pretty fair. Hard to say though.

So you think there is 4-5k still on the table? I would like to do the one payment and never think about it again. They want $52,000 out the door, so I was thinking of going back and asking for $50,000 out the door. Seem fair?

yes. There's more. And may even be more come June. Where are you located. If on the East Coast I know two dealers willing to deal

Exactly, but wait a week first. I bet they contact you first. Once they do, you have them hooked! They need to sell you the outdated 2017 more than you need to buy it.
Or better yet, if they do contact you, tell them you want all kinds of info on the 2018....

Settled at $49,500 so I did the one pay. One pay saved me about $5,600. Car ended up being discounted from $120,510+rear spoiler, + window tint, + hardwiring my radar detector to $106,000.
So I figure full MSRP would be around $121,210. I essentially got them down $15,210. Even got the speech that they were not making any money and the sales person didn't get anything.
