My dealer finally did the NAV update on my 2015 S550 when it was in for servicing a couple weeks back, so yes, the dealers have the update and are performing it.

Did it fix or update/upgrade anything else with the car or was it purely NAV mapping software? Did you have any other issues they worked on/ fixed? Mine has a slew of issues ( all small ) but still would like everything dealt with. Hopefully the car has been out long enough and enough people complained so MBZ corrected stuff.

window shade has cured my issues so far. knock on wood. I think this is similar to how cell phones turn off when left in the sun. I'm almost certain they don't have cooling fans in the dash for the electronics(maybe why after driving with a/c on for a couple minutes brings it back to life). I also noticed when touchpad is very hot it won't click down and when it cools it will(safety thing to protect electronics maybe???). I'm thinking Benz did us a favor. what do you guys think?

Hi Socalsteve:
As far as I can tell, the NAV update merely updated maps and added some POI's. It seems to function as before, but then I've had almost no issues on the W222. No problems with the touchpad at all. The only issue I've had is that if the car is left outside for several hours on a hot day, the analog clock will stop. Then when you start the car, the analog clock will begin functioning but remain behind the digital clock. When the car is put in a garage overnight, the analog clock catches up. They've ordered a new analog clock and are putting it in next week.
My rear camera has always functioned, but I've had the common problem of it not being bright enough in certain situations.
