for anyone who might be considering an S550e

This was news to me so in case you are unaware, there is a $3000 federal tax credit. I thought the credit was only for EVs (for example $7500 for Teslas) but actually it also applies to plug-in hybrids, with the amount of the credit dependent on battery capacity: link to list
