Mercedes is really dumb at the moment. They are loading up dealers with S450's and limit S560 allocations. You will find very few S560's in the country and lots of them are the ruby black/mahogany combo which will not be a hot seller. These are forced allocations.
S450's are in low demand as many don't want a 6 cylinder in their S. Not sure what they are thinking. But you can get already full discounts on them and with low MF and high residual, it is one cheap car.
What's non-discounted MF again? Does that mean not marked up?

Yeah I see a sea of 450s. 550 is coming up in Dec and logical replacement is the 560. What are you doing?

By non-discounted I mean just the published MF rates. These are retail rates that have dealer margins build in.

I have some back and forth at the moment. Our dealers don't have the allocations to give me the discount I am looking for on our configured build. Can get another S560 at 10% off but am not interested.
Lease ends at 1/1/18 and I have no issues hanging on for a couple more months if need be until the car hits the price target. This is a certainty after 6 months from launch.

I hope that MB quickly changes their mind fast, otherwise dealers will hurt. Customers will not move from a S550 to a S450 for lease renewal.

Are you talking about getting much more than 10% off on an ordered car? And if so, what discount range do you think is feasible? I think I got something like 10.5-10.9% back when I ordered my 2015, not counting a fleet discount.

I am fine with 10%+ on an ordered car.
A lot of people with 2015 models will be in for a surprise as the deals will not be quite as good in time for their S550 lease end.
i think ours was 14% off

But you can't sit tight for too long with lease ending in 2 months. Either you extend or turn in as is. I was originally going to wait til Nov to engage in conversation with the dealer. My reason being how in Oct, the car is still pretty new. Might have to start earlier to find something decent. How long to order?

2015 was good pricing indeed. I'm aiming for 10% this time around.
