I've only seen 1 FL at my local dealer, and it had a black interior. Going to autotrader and searching for S560s at any distance, only 2 have brown interiors, 14 black, and 23 beige.

If you go to cars.com over half are mahogany.
But im in Ohio so Florida maybe got entirely different allocation

Thanks for the pics. Looks like we ordered almost the same car except I got the satin red interior. I’m very concerned about the floor mats. We shall see I guess. I think I will like the ruby black how it matches the interior I’m not sure.

Of the two S560s in my local dealers inventory, both are Mahogany. I am in PA. In Autotrader, they do not even list Mahogany as an option even though both these cars show up in Autotrader. The brown in Autotrader refers to Nut Brown.

Car arrived this morning will take delivery tomorrow or Thursday . For those that are curious the red is more brown than red. Exactly what I wanted. You can tell it’s red but it’s a deep rich red.

Does anyone know if there is an exhaust button or option for the 560? I noticed in the online reviews the 63 had a dedicated button that opened up the exhaust flaps.

Also, for those who have driven the 560...is the exhaust more pronounced with the new engine setup?

No exhaust button that I know of for the 560. I haven’t really noticed a difference between the exhaust on my 560 vs on my previous 550. I’ve only driven the car for a week so it’s early for me to tell. Haven’t taken it out on the highway yet, mostly driven around town

I truly believe that someone high up in the MB hierarchy finally laid eyes on the Mahogany interior and nearly had a seizure, as the color is SO horrid. They immediately checked to see how many sets had been procured and then gave orders to try and use them all up on the initial 2018 models. Their thinking being that there would be at least some customers out there who did not order in advance and who are desperate for ANY 2018 S Class, that they will shut their eyes and sign on the dotted line.

This Mahogany interior is like the "The Emperor's New Clothes." Nobody seems to be able or willing to say what is plainly true, and that is that someone over in Germany must have been on an acid trip when they looked at this ridiculously ugly interior and said "I like it, put it into production." To a similar but lesser degree, I believe the Gray/Brown interior falls into the same category. Change is good when it is an improvement. Change for the sake of change often results in disgusting outcomes such as these truly ugly interior choices. The Emperior is FRIGGING NAKED--and he resides in Stuttgart! Believe it!

I agree fully it’s ugly. However it looks nothing like those pics. It’s more of a saddle color than the red color in those pics. Either way it is not good looking. I actually like the beige and blue a lot. At least from the pics.

I think you guys are being to hard on the Mahogany interior color. I am surprised by the people saying it is ugly since many people like the Nut Brown interior. Maybe people don't like the Mahogany because it is matched with Beige but the Mahogany color is actually a bit darker than the Nut Brown. Also everyone seemed to like Lovin's Auburn Brown special order in his '15 S Class.


I guess I am just shocked by how everyone seems to hate the Mahogany color. Especially Stream. Stream you like options so here is another option which I know you don't like.


Attached is an actual picture in Mahogany. That is not so bad is it Stream?

I haven't seen it in person yet, but I liked it when I first came across pics like the below, in fact I hadn't really considered getting the FL until I saw such pics. Currently I have Deep Sea Blue, and I think MB should have kept the FL seats blue with that color option.




MTrauman and anyone else who has seen Mahogany in person...is MTrauman's pic pretty accurate?

I saw it in person in Shanghai- International Auto show, looks awesome with designo piano black lacquer trim. IMHO, beige nappa steering wheel degrades the overall interior look and feel.

Looks particularly good with black piano lacquer with flowing lines...

So much drama yet most people haven't even seen any facelifted models in the flesh.

The ones I have seen were customer-configured cars. Strangely all those were vanilla low-optioned models.
The only thing worth seeing on those was the upgraded display

I also wish there would be more color choices but an incredible amount of these cars have boring black interiors... I don't think mahogany would be my taste but I will hold my thoughts on this until I actually know.

For now, I don't think I like the grille, it looks like it won't go as far in semi-autonomous driving as MB, and I'm more concerned about the prestige factor than I used to be. OTOH, since it isn't out yet I'm not going to rule it out quite yet.

I will get back to you on the upgraded sound. I have not had a chance to listen to it yet. I picked up the car and went to dinner and came home.
I will give my thoughts on everything in a couple days. I can say the transmission is much nicer than in my 15.

Well, we now have three, distinctly--if not WILDLY different representations of what the Mahogany interior is supposed to look like, so I'll wait to make my final judgement until I see it in person. That said, matching all of these various colors with Silk Beige just doesn't work for me.

AND, I got those crazy "pink" images off the MBUSA "Build" site. If the color is so incredibly far off from reality, HOW can a zillion dollar company like MB allow such a horrible misrepresentation??? It's been several weeks now and nobody has jumped all over this to try and get it fixed? Amazing!

I have looked at the color person. The build site is by far the most wrong looking. It’s not even close. My bet is they use photo shop instead of an actually pic. To describe the real color would be the nut brown with some hints of red.
