Anybody using Sirius Traffic on the new v.10 nav software?
Ever since my dealer updated my Nav software in my 2015 S550v4 to v.10 a few weeks ago, I've been getting prompts to sign up for Sirius Traffic info. Is anyone using this with any success?
I'm not crazy about having to pay for live traffic info on my Nav, but I'd sign up for it if it adds value.
Does anybody have an experiences with Sirius Traffic - either good or bad? I live in Michigan & my internet service in the car isn't great.
Thanks !
John

If you chose to renew Sirius traffic.... Ask for cancellation department only.... They will renew for half the price of the customer service department....similar to satellite radio renewal.

I was lucky and purchased a lifetime subscription to Sirius when they first came out ( around $300). I can transfer to a different vehicle up to a total of three times. When I purchased my 2015 S550 that included 6 months of Sirius radio and three years of weather and traffic, I called to transfer my lifetime subscription. They had no problem doing that, but canceled my weather subscription. They gave me some run around that i couldn't keep the 3 years of weather if I transferred over the lifetime subscription. It took quite an effort but I eventually got them to reinstate the weather app. Well, I pick up my 2018 S560 tomorrow. That has 6 months of Sirius and 5 years of weather. Here we go again......

My '16 S Class came with 5 years free Sirius Traffic & Weather (my '14 only had 6 mths Sirius Traffic & Weather for free). Yes I find it helpful since the navigation system will reroute you based on accidents or heavy traffic. My wife uses the Waze app and I find it similiar to that app. The Sirius setup uses satelite instead of the internet connection I believe.
Thanks !
