FINALLY bought an S-Class... back in June

Hello,
back once again posting for the first time being an S-Class owner. Been loving every mile of it and I have been so lazy to post pictures in the forum. The car has been absolutely amazing. Coming from Lexus, this is my first Mercedes Benz and first S-Class. I have never owned such a fine car. One day I'll get off my *** and take some pictures of the car and attach it to this threat but until then, I'll give you the whole spec.

Mercedes Benz S550e Plug-In Hybrid

Exterior - Gray with the 20' Multispoke Wheels ($2,200)

Interior - Nut Brown Exclusive Nappa Leather ($4,450) with Sun Burst Myrtle Wood ($800)

Options
Driver Assistance pkg ($2,800)
Exclusive Trim pkg ($950)
Surround View Camera ($900)
Head-Up Display ($990)
Warmth and Comfort pkg ($2,600)
Rear Seat pkg [4 zone climate & foot rest] ($3,000)
Burmester 3D Surround System ($6,400)
Premium Package ($4,500)
Comfort Box ($350)
California Carpool Lane Stickers ($22)

Also added an XPEL clear bra for $795 to prevent rock chips since I drive so much.

Pretty sure I got all the options but I may be forgetting a few... all in around 132k + tax. Put 5,500 miles on the car since I got it back in June and I've enjoyed every mile. Happy with my purchase and the kids love how they can control their own seats.

Congrats, and if you didn't already know, with a plug-in hybrid you will qualify for a federal tax credit when you file your 2017 1040...just remember to do it. $4000.

2016 S550e
Picked up a cpo from Newport beach last week. 2016 model with 16k miles. Cannot stop being in awe by how amazing the car looks. Original price for the car was $120,580

Driver Assistance pkg
Exclusive Trim pkg
Surround View Camera
Head-Up Display
Warmth and Comfort pkG
Rear Seat pkg
Premium Package
Comfort Box

Yours definitely is super loaded with a bunch more packages. Didn't get a demomfrom the dealership about the car features so figuring everything out myself right now. E.g. takes 4 clicks to turn the AC on/off . I am sure there is a button somewhere but can't figure it out.

Also not sure how to best get the max mileage out of it. I charge it every day. My commute is about 25 miles per day. Anyway, saw this thread and wanted to respond as there aren't many 550e owners here

Welcome to the S-Class Plug-In club! Not very many active S550e owners that are still out there. I am very active and know a lot about this car. Feel free to send me a PM anytime to ask questions.

Your electric range will depend a lot on how you drive, if they’re are hills, and how far you drive. The electric battery is rated for 20 miles on a full charge. The car has learned how I drive and tells me in the morning that I have 19. Give your car a couple of weeks to learn how you drive (especially because there was a previous owner who drove differently than you). Try to plug it in every night if you can. Your daily commute is not much so I wouldn’t bother and just leave the car in hybrid mode. If you have access to charging stations while at work, then I’d recommend full electric mode to and from work. You’ll barely have to fill up!

On the S550e, is it possible to use the mercedes app to cool the car down via battery a few minutes before getting in to it?

Can you park with the engine off and use the battery to maintain the AC?
