2018 S450-4Matic
Just bought a 2018 S450-4matic. Anyone out there own one and if so what do you think of it so far, the high points and the low points. Also, if you know any of the part numbers for the consumables like the oil filter, air filters, etc. please let me know. Thanks.

2018 S-450
I bought mine a couple months ago. I think the car is amazing, does everything you’d want it to do. My favorite part is the driver assistance, it works perfectly and is awesome on the highway. Sit back, in the near silent cabin, get a massage, listen to music and let the car drive itself. The only knock that I have with the car and this is really a reach is that sometimes on the highway you will feel it kick down into 8th gear when going up a grade. Disclaimer, this is my first s class so I can not compare to the 550. I came from 2 e classes and this car is on another planet compared to those.

Everything works well. gears shift much better than my E and C class. Fuel consumption is on par with previous mercs, which is surprising given the size. Only minor gripe is I don't like the two sun roofs. couple of rattles which i'll get taken care of at my first oil change. my advice to anyone getting one is get the Nappa leather option.

On two road trips so far I get around 32-33 MPG. Around town not so good, around 18 or so.
So it looks like better than advertised for highway and less than expected on short drives.

Saw one today in Long Beach at a company that handles Mercedes press relations and special events. Had the Executive Rear Seat Plus option (4 place seating), along with a host of other packages, Warmth & Comfort, etc. Sticker was $118 which was a lot less than I was expecting.

My '17 550 coupe (w/9G) really swizzles the fuel avg 13mpg city, even with mostly moderate throttle applications.
Our '17 Q7 (supercharged 6 w/8spd) weighs about as much as an S class and I've been seeing 22 mpg city with 4000 on the odo.
