Thanks for posting, first I really liked the grille, then I didn't so much...really like everything else.

Does it get the new amg 9 spd?

Yes. 9 speed MCT. Which works beautifully compared to the clunky old 7 speed.

Like the grill. Love the headlights. Not as crazy about the steering wheel.

Grill reminds me of a BMW or Buick, definitely not traditional MB design but as of late they have moved away from tradition with their designs. Sickkk car, love the tail lights.

I believe the grille design started with MB race cars n the late 1930's

Now that's a pure history lesson right there, see I didn't know that. They are also adding this grill to the new CLS63 as well.

No CLS63 anymore; model is history...

FYI. That role will be filled by the upcoming AMG GT 4 door. This has been called AMG GT4 (which it is not) and it is not based on the AMG GT at all but the new CLS platform.
There will also not be a E63 Coupe or cab. There will be a CLS53. 53 replaces the 43 line-up of somewhat AMG models.

Test drove both '18 S63 sedan and E63: same crappy MCT (jerky, non-confidence-inspiring) in <40MPH routine urban driving; throttle response better than in past (all in Sport/SportPlus): truly a POS vs 991TTS throttle/PDK in same uses
Have heard of several '18 63 MCT's blowing up already: major safety risk if this occurs in traffic/at-speed: so obviously AMG can't solve MCT after 10yrs of trying (kinda like P's 991.1GT3 motors blowing up continually, even in new replacement motors): flawed engineering only solved by firing the engineers/executives responsible, hiring more competent guys and starting over

Have ordered '19 S65 Coupe and '19 991TTS Coupe (replacing my current '17 versions of each): if 65 can't compete w/TTS in routine urban driving throttle response/gearbox smoothness, I will simply revert to TTS for all my driving uses (after driving ~10 new 65s over past 10yrs for almost all of my driving, esp wkend pleasure driving), as much as I have doubts abt TTS' relative passive safety, its crappy exhaust note and fugly looks (ironically, much prefer 65's precision/stability/aural entertainment in challenging mtn twisties wkend driving: isn't that where TTS should excel, rather than in routine urban driving vs 65???)

anyone know the name of the color?
it has lots of metallic in it and looks kinda dark grey but black at times. I’m guessing the sclass sedan behind it is jet black

I like your posts in general but your comments lately are on the weird side. Comparing the PDK with the V12 7 speed slush box makes zero sense. MB isn't even attempting to make it feel like the PDK so why bother getting them? The 65's aren't getting a lot of love from AMG these days...
Agreed with your comments on the 7 speed MCT but not on the 9 speed. The jerky shifts are gone (at least for me) as the gear ratios have changed. Also would love to see some specifics on '18 63 MCT's blowing up. Enlighten us with some details...
