Montecito, CA Mud Slide Disaster

One of our favorite places on the face of the earth is Montecito, CA. My wife and I visit there often and our favorite restaurant anywhere, Lucky's is located right there on Coast Village Rd. A friend who lives in Santa Barbara sent me this photo. I don't believe he took it, but it's pretty depressing. Our prayers are with the residents and business owners who have lost loved ones in this incredible disaster.

Wow, crazy stuff. Seems like a lot of disasters there In CA. My sister lives near LA and has been affected by all the fires, sounds like a nightmare. Not too much happens here in Florida besides an occasional sink hole or hurricane in the fall.

My route a couple days ago took me from Las Vegas to Santa Maria to Los Angeles. As the 101 was closed, had to take 166 from Santa Maria back to the 5 (comes out just north of the Grapevine). I have a feeling it's not a very well traveled road most times, but it was definitely busy that day. Along with the fog . . . good times.
