W222 instrument cluster and biturbo questions

Window shopping used cars right now, had a couple thoughts and can't find any answers Youtube or otherwise.

1. Is the instrument cluster on a 2014 customizable to display gauges instead of % for fuel and digital temperature gauge? Looks like S63 can display oil temp and engine temp as gauges, but can the S550 do this, and is it only those 2 gauges? If it's customizable, does anyone know where I can see pictures of the other customization options? Have there been any mods/hacks to change instrument cluster appearance?

2. If turbochargers need serviced or replaced on the V8 biturbo, can they be replaced without pulling the engine, or does engine have to come out? Looks like they are down low under the heads and very hard to get to.

Nope , the 63's don't have the option of gauge display either in the pre-FL models . I don't think any of the pre-FL cars have that option as far as I've seen.

if this is what your asking, I have it in MY17 S63:

Yes, the M157 Biturbo engine needs to be removed for service, upgrade and turbo backs.

AMG Display.

Night Vision Display.

I've seen that but didn't realize it was actually showing the real temps. I thought that was just a picture of gauges with no real time values on them. Thanks!!!

Is that display available on the S550 AMG, or is it S63 only?
Does the S550 engine also need to be pulled for turbo service? I would guess so since the engines are very similar, but thought I'd make sure.

I don’t know for certain if the engine needs to be pulls for services or turbo backs on the S550, but in the biturbo M157 engine it does need to be removed.

As for the AMG Display and I have test drove the 2017 S550 and can confirm the AMG Display is only for the AMG S63 and S65.
