I've been lurking here since I ordered my first MB, an S560 last June. Just got the car today from Escondido MB, who sent someone up to LB to drive the car down to Escondido.
I'd like to thank all on this site who guided me for my first ever MB order. Steamliner recommended that I go for the 18" wheels, for added comfort, and others have counseled me re: the many options. Many thanks to all of you for your advice and knowledge. Can't wait until I can replace the RF tires with better riding conventional tires.
I'm now in the "learning stage" for all the many options and alternatives.

Mercedes is going to have 3 telematics providers now...Tele-Aid, Mbrace and now, MB Connect ( I wonder who is running the back end for them now?). No brand or company is listed in the current Terms of Service.

Incorrect-- Mercedes ceased using Tele-Aid several years ago when mbrace service was initiated. MB connect is a feature of mbrace. Mbrace was purchased a couple of years ago by Verizon.

I thought, it was still available on legacy vehicles? I haven't kept up since the switch between Tele-Aid and Mbrace.
If MB Connect was part of Mbrace, why would Verizon allow their competitor access to the customer data?

If you look on MB USA, Mbrace and Mbrace Connect are 2 separate entities on the website. Mbrace still refers to Verizon for <2018 models in the TOS. Mbrace Connect is for all 2019 models and doesn't refer to Verizon as the provider so something has changed between Verizon Telematics and MB USA.
I am so confused. My new car now has both apps to use? Why 2 apps? I just don't get it? I don't see Send2Benz tho on the app anymore, which is about the ONLY feature I use. GAHHH.

Katherine, how did you get that picture on your multi media screen with all those apps? Is that from your smart phone by using bluetooth?

Send2Benz is on the Mercedes me ipad/iphone app. You can also use a web browser on a desktop or laptop computer for Send2Benz https://www.mbusa.com/mercedesme/connect
At the time when Mercedes transitioned to mbrace, existing tele-aid subscribers were given the opportunity to purchase a lifetime subscription for less than twice the annual fee. In addition, this subscription is transferable to other Mercedes vehicles for life. It covers the basic services as well as stolen vehicle locator. I have this lifetime subscription. Unfortunately, I doubt it will ever become available again.

Send2Benz was on my MercedesMe app until the new car came along. Now it's not an option.
I just realized MBConnect is something that supposedly has to be set up at the dealership (or approved) on site. They are telling me to go in person and then they can do it and I can get Send2Benz back (as well as traffic info, which I also don't have right now). Ironically, I have been trying to avoid the dealership entirely (my SA brought the car to me to my office and took away the old one). It was a super experience and so so convenient. I am going to see if they can activate it for me without me having to drive in and waste and hour or two. Seems silly.
So I am thinking the reason part of the stuff is disabled is because it says "activation in person required with photo ID." LOL.

Ah ok. They should be able to do everything remotely for you then since they already have your information for you.

You should not have to do all this. All I did was call Connect Me and they did all the work, including calling the dealer to activate the app.
Just make sure everyone uses the $1,000 that is being given to anyone who has bought or leased a MB from 2012 thru July 31st...
you can use it towards the purchase or lease on anything new 2018/2019 until Oct 31st which we will all have our cars by then.

I ordered this 2019 S560 a while back. The dealer tells me that my build date is November 1. I'll post some pictures when it arrives.
Congratulations! It looks gorgeous. Cannot wait to see it. I love the interior. Kinda wish I changed up my interior even though I really like the combo. It just doesn't feel that diff from my previous car...
Anyone know how to increase the volume on my cel phone calls. When I hit about 70, I am straining to hear the call. I have the setting both in the car and on my cel at max.
Will try calling Mecedes Connect right now to see if they can set me up. Taking her for a spin to LA later tonight to see the parents and some friends... . First long drive.
