I would thank you @sackboydad for the info but I am just not thankful to hear that news at all. LOL. My SA told me same thing -- they have no control, no way to know and really no news at all right now. But alas my sound system that they fixed for me last month once again is not working soooooo I am pretty anxious to get this over-with. Music is my life during my commute.
As for California, yes you can change your mind and not buy/lease the car even when it gets to the dealer. Since you are ordering it sight unseen, I suppose they can't make you do anything. As a matter of fact, my friend ordered 2 different cars from 2 different dealers about 5 years ago and then decided once they came in which one he liked better. I am not condoning the behavior but that is just what happened.

everything is still on the time line for expected release which is mid Sept.. it “could” happen sooner but only MBUSA controls that. Also sometimes Cars that were approved Friday won’t show up on the Carb website until Monday/Tuesday. Again everything is still on the projected time line the only part that ya can hope for is the release comes sooner than Sept 20th but that’s around the expected S class release

Board member posted this updated schedule as of 8/20.. not sure if it’s for Wholesale or overall but looks like the S450 should be certified by Friday and if they are it won’t show up until next week on the Carb list.. just like the ones from the week before.. but it also means they will be released to dealers at the end of the week or next weekend

I would project anywhere from Sept 1st to Sept 15
more likely Sept 3-10 that they will release from VPC and however long from there it takes to get to your dealer.

If I have the 2019 S450 but September 14, I will be able to drive it to Boston. That would be SO awesome. Even Saturday the 15th would likely work because I've been told that my dealer will get it ready in no time. My wife and I are starting the drive to Bean town early morning of Sunday, September 16.

They usually let you extend your lease when you have a Car that’s ordered on With a PO number.. they could extend a month or whatever time you might need.
yeah it sucks all the different rollouts. But it’s all changing every few weeks so a new update will happen in a few weeks to a month.

My SA just called me to say that while there is no news on the S560s yet, MBUSA did say that all the models will be released by mid-Sept. So thankfully this won't drag on!

MBUSA just put out a press release on bad August sales. They said that these models will be replenished this month...
"While customer demand remains high, our inventory levels are impacted by delayed availability of many of our 2019 models," said Dietmar Exler, president and CEO of MBUSA. "We are currently replenishing the inventory of our popular 2019 CLA-, GLC-, E- and GLS-Class this month."

Just got off the phone with my guy.. everything is still on the same time line.. nothing has moved forward or backwards. The Target was still “released by the 20th, but should come before”.. also the EPA has yet to approve the S class as of today

Either that or you will be extremely lucky and get it 1-2 days beforehand! How awesome would that be? The only issue would be if they release them like the 14th but then it takes a week for dealers to get the vehicle and do their prep. Then it would drag things out.
