Extended warranty pricing?

I am in the market to purchase an extended warranty for my 2015 S550 with 10k miles. I've got 1 quote for $3,600 for the 7 year/75k mile extended warranty. For those that have purchased extended warranties....what price did you pay? Any guidance or contact info for cheap dealer warranty sales guys would be appreciated.

also I recently had my bumper repainted (the body shop took off the rear bumper and smoothed out/filled a dent in the plastic bumper) and put the bumper back on. I just found out that they are not a Mercedes authorized body shop, will that invalidate the warranty? both original warranty + extended warranty?

I was about to ask the same thing for the UK.

Email this guy with your VIN to get a quote:

i think i paid $5k to add 2 more years/unlimited to my CPO. (my CPO has the rest of the 4 year/50k mile warranty, then adds 1 year unlimited. so i have 3 years/unlimited after the balance of my 4/50 is used up.
i also paid about that as i recall for the wheel and tire warranty (windshield, painteless dent repair) sold by the dealership but it's through a third party.
i'll get rid of the car with a few months left in the warranty - should help on resale.
hope this helps.

You paid too much. Same deal on my car, I paid much less through Jeff Jackson.

Jeff Jackson? A dealership, or warranty company? I checkdd my email, $4,995for the 2year extended, I was quoted similar from another dealer for a car that was $10k less.
this is through Mercedes.

See the third post in this thread.

doh! sorry about that - that's what happens when you post before you think... :)

Try Cassandra Castro ccastro@iamilwaukee.com as I just bought one, and she was able to beat Jeff - but both were able to do much better than anyone else.

garygnu 03-28-2018 05:10 PM

amazing - my guy CLAIMED their cost for the Benz warranty was $5 less than they charged me. Hmmm, maybe not?

not in my experience. She responded fairly quickly to an email, but seemed cold/dry in saying that i wouldn’t be eligible for any MB warranty since i wasn’t the original owner. 🤷🏼*♂️

What do you expect? She can't change the rules.

I’m aware that she can’t change the rules. My response was, as stated above, was that i did not have the same experience.

Your response was completely unnecessary. No need to be all extra- just letting others know what my experience was.

Good day!

sam9187 04-24-2018 09:48 PM

I still cannot get in touch with her after multiple emails. Maybe she is too busy for more business. I have never understood this in the car business - they have a product to sell whether it's sales or finance, everyone is too busy to call back.

Mandingo 06-09-2018 01:44 PM

They both responded to me within 10 minutes for my 2014 S63 AMG. Cassandra was a couple of hundred bucks cheaper for 2 year warranty but they both were *several thousand* dollars cheaper than my local dealership.

hyperion667 06-11-2018 08:25 AM

I paid almost 9k for an ELW......for my AMG......................you guys are getting some killer prices!

superpop 06-18-2018 06:51 PM

So what are the "Rules" on the MB ELW. I just called Casandra up as well and she was ready to sell me the warranty but when she typed in the VIN, she told me that MB would not extend my warranty because I was not the original purchaser of the car. Whats up with that, I did not have that problem on my last S. Can the second owner not extend the MB ELW?

Phillyfinest 06-18-2018 07:38 PM

When i tried a few months ago she told me the same thing.

superpop 06-18-2018 08:01 PM

So what did you end up doing Philly?

‘I’m a second owner who purchased a CPO 2015 and was able to extend the warranty. Wonder if it is only on CPO cars.

Were your cars bought private party?

superpop 06-18-2018 08:04 PM

Picked mine up from a broker.
