Don't trust ebay. I helped other members on the forum. If needed I can provide the usernames to verify. I can refer you to get authentic genuine OEM AMG wheels. Straight out of Germany. I have posted on other threads why to avoid stealerships or ebay.

I'm confused.... what's wrong with getting 20" AMG wheels from a dealership? I was quoted $2k per wheel for the 5 split spoke AMG wheels at my dealer. I decided to keep my stock black wheels for a while though.

stealerships, will sell you remanufactured wheels but say they are new. I posted it on other threads the logistics and details. I have a friend who is a MB-General Manager disclosed the truth to me, they also do it with parts. PM me if you want wheels genuine authentic OEM straight from Germany AMG GmbH. I have helped other forum members.

What???? Never heard of such a thing. I have a local MB Dealer that is totally ethical. Right? Wow... I can't imagine my 2 local dealers would ever, ever sell a remanufactured wheels and potentially lose customers over it.

I can provide you with all the facts on how the logistics work etc. I'm sure your dealer or dealers will try to set themselves apart and say we don't do this sort of thing....Yawn

may have been some other exceptionally good looking guy. i have 10 spoke rims, but those are on the car. i have the pirelli tires (not rims) available for sale - i kinda need something as the whole cinder block thing just doesn't work for me and my creampuff
i may have spoken with you about swapping my 20s for your 19s.

"Whenever a car company issues an 'exchange part' they attach a 'core charge' to that part. This entices the consumer to return the old part to the manufacturer to get their core charge credited back to them. In our case these wheels now have a $80.00 core charge per wheel. The only way to get that core charge back is by returning 'the old wheel'. the wheels available now may very well be new, but listed as exchange items with a core charge so Mercedes can get old units back and start/continue rebuilding these wheels OR just to keep them away from the aftermarket copy cats that try to reverse engineer the styles of wheels.
Theres no way to tell between which is reman and which is purely a new part with an exchange price on it. Right now that part number new or 'exchange' has a $80.00 core additional to the price that can only be refunded once a core (old unit) is returned.
From what Im understanding,
more than likely these are new units listed as reman but are really 'exchange' units. Mercedes does it a lot with parts like bumpers. They attached a core charge to a new part like a reman, but only to keep the items away from the aftermarket.
They cannot guarantee they will be new because Mercedes may cancel the order and send an error code showing we must purchase Remans. When they place the order they do so by using your VIN number and a code that bypasses a 'supersession' (when a part number changes from one number to another). Mercedes will either let it go through or cancel it and send them the error. In their world, if there is a reman available it is forced to be ordered.
Unfortunately MB dealerships, have no other options then what I outlined above. That part number is If it looks like there is certain amount in Germany and a remanufactured number now showing in the example. US 212-401-50-02-"87". Since there are reman units available in the US, it may be difficult to get the new ones from Germany. The odd thing is they both show the same price
(new/reman)
and have an $80.00 core now. That might be why the price dropped.
They will try to order new units from Germany, but again, they may force the Remans."
OEM, MB dealer authentic genuine straight from Europe unlike U.S. much cheaper than stealerships, MB dealers will sell remanufactured wheels as new.
below how it works. (PM me and I can direct to the company mention my name.)
Wheel manufacturer > Daimler Global Logistics Center (GLC Germersheim) > Cologne Logistics Centre (LC) > Mercedes-Benz dealer > "COMPANY> UPS > you
And if you bought parts from your local dealer it would be:
Parts manufacturer > Daimler Global Logistics Center (GLC Germersheim) > Daimler USA Logistics center > Mercedes-Benz dealer > you
AMG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG. They don't have any facilities in Affalterbach to make wheels. They are all made under license by BBS, Ronal, OZ-racing, Stahlschmidt Maiworm etc
dealers try to confuse you into buying from them. Any exchange items (ie manufacturer refurbished) have a part number suffix that denotes they are such (80 or 87).
Here's an example for a diesel injector:
The trading of wheel cores is a USA thing, it doesn’t happen in Europe. Never seen remanufactured Mercedes or AMG wheels being offered through dealers in Europe.
So, if you want a remanufactured wheel then buy from your dealer
