How do you keep it from upshifting in manual mode?
just got this '15 S 550 to go with a 911 and whenever I paddle shift down to second gear it subsequently starts up shifting after a few moments.
Is there a trick to get it to behave since the rpms barely reach 3000?.

Using Sport Mode or pulling the " - " more than 2 second ..Former will keep the gear longer but kills MPG on the other than latter should downshift more than 1 speed at which gear you're going .If there's Sport Plus Mode you can also select that mode

It’s probably a prevention of keeping the car in a low gear and high rpms. People are dumb they might accidentally hit the shifter and drive around in 1st gear, blow out the trans and blame the dealer
