The European S450 and S500 both have the M256 I6. In the S450 it is lower-tuned, lower-output than in the S500.
Why the U.S. S450 gets the old V6 instead is beyond me.
I believe that the AMG "53" engines (E53, CLS53, etc) are the same as in the European S500.
