S550 rear wheel noise at low speeds
hello all,
just picked up cpo 2015 s550 beauty of a car. Only problem is at low speeds 15mph and under on the rear wheels I can hear a light screeching sound almost like a metallic sound. Noise doesn’t happen while braking and seem to be non existent when speeds are higher than 20mph. Dealer says it’s normal? Anyone else have this issue?

Sound like a brake caliper is sticking a little bit and the pad is rubbing on the rotor when you are not applying brake pressure. Would be my guess, I have a 15 as well and it is silent at that speed.

Just a shot in the dark here but it might stop it. Put your car in the "brake pad replacement" mode as if you were going to replace the pads. This will move the calipers way out of the way, releasing the e.brake, and they might just settle back in properly after returning it back to normal mode. Wouldn't hurt to try.
