Movies to Go questions...

So, I have the Video in Motion (Works Great). I transferred all the CD's to the SD card with all my other music in Apple Lossless format. Before a Trip I load in all DVD movies in the front, then the kids (and the wife) get to choose what movie they would like to watch. When they turn on the Rear Screens, it will easily play the same as the front. Car came with 3 Headsets, so it works out great. With the split screen, I can see Full Screen Navagation while driving and the passenger sees just the movie. I think this is really a cool feature. If they want the Real Theater sound, I just turn up the Volume and don't use the headsets if they are all watching the same thing. At any time the rear passenger(s) can choose the Front Movie or use the Rear DVD. Is there a way to easily transfer Most or All movies to the built-in Hard Drive or SD card? Any Simple to follow instructions anywhere? Thanks

I loaded up several torrents of movies and music videos up on a USB flash drive and saved them all to the hard drive. Love always having them built in for long trips!

Is there a YouTube video on how to do this? That's what I'm trying to accomplish. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I bought the Video in Motion for my 2015 S65 AMG also but have yet to install it. Did you install it yourself or have someone else do it? I've installed it in my 2016 GMC Yukon Denali fairly simply. Was going to do this myself.

DIY job. Just follow the directions. I don't remember the steps, but it will only work on the car that you supplied them the vin. I think it was plug in the SD card, the system will automatically boot-up then reboot the display. Wala.... Keep your card marked or keep the software in case you need to reload for some reason.

Software Works flawless...

Okay guys sorry for the long hiatus! I'm back and with pics! Wanted to load up some extra stuff this morning.

So first you choose the proper USB Drive of course. Either works fine

After it loads choose the Options tab

After that choose "Saves files to media manager"

Choose what you would like to add then click continue

Then click on "Start"

After that just let it do it's thing! Once it's done all your videos will be saved to the media registry hard drive! Hope this helps!

Thanks Twistedchild420!! The other part(s) of my question:
1. Can you convert a DVD to a portable file that can then be transferred to the USB, then to the HD?
2. Instructions or links to do the above...

Thanks Again!

Thanks again....

Ripping DVD to MP4 is the best choice because MP4 has overcome all the weaknesses in AVI format. Generally, MP4 accepts widely supported video Codecs including MPEG4, H.264 and HEVC (saving about half the size of H.264 / AVC), together with an audio Codec - AAC (2 Channel - 8 Channel), MP3. MP4 file format can be supported by almost all players, such as free 5KPlayer, Windows (10) Media Player, VLC, MPC-HC, and MPlayer. Therefore, to rip a DVD to MP4 is a wiser choice than to rip DVD to AVI.

Most of my stuff is .avi,MP4, and MKV. The car supports a wide range of codecs. So no worries!
