Looks like the 2019 MY vehicles will have a slew of different options through the remote access app. In addition to the Mercedes Me app, there is a new one on AppStore, which is Mercedes Me Connect. It indicates it is for 2019 MY and beyond, and when I tried to register my 2018 S560 it pointed me to the older Mercedes Me app.

It looks like the interface is a bit tidier on the new app, with other information that is otherwise unavailable in the regular Mercedes Me app available. Such as;
Next Service date
Fuel level and remaining range
Tire pressure levels
System Battery levels
Brake pad levels
Brake fluid levels

and also offers an Apple Watch app. I thought the former Mercedes Me app also offered a watch app, but apparently that was not correct...
