2018 S

I had a 2015 S63 and the car would drive itself for 15secs or so. I now have a 2018 S63 and I can't seem to replicate that. The car just would not drive itself. Any thoughts? Is there a setting that needs to be turned on?

Make sure the steering wheel button on the left side of the dash is turned on. If that button is off the adaptive cruise will still work but not the steering end of things that could be your problem.

There are also settings that alter the autonomous actions. They are in the instrument cluster and accessible through the steering wheel buttons on my 2014

Thanks. I will check. I hope that's the issue which would be a simple thing.

Call your salesman. He/she can walk you through it but it's best to go over there in person and have them spend an hour with you to show you all the cool new stuff on our cars. There's SO much stuff. I'm at page 481 of the owners manual with only 50 or so more pages to read. It's been interesting and boring at the same time. Mostly, I will never use 90% of the autonomous and other nanny controls on this car. I've turned them all off, I find them totally distracting except the one where another car is in the lane next to you and it makes a beeping noise if you try to turn into that lane.

Thank you. That was the problem. The steering wheel button was off.
