S550 Front Splitter
My wife took off the front splitter on my S550 at a parking lot. Dealer quoted $449.00 in parts without labor. Found a replacement on ebay for $170.00 including the mounting bracket. Parts are pretty good quality and fit was perfect. Not bad considering this may happen more often than I would like.

Wow, looks like OEM, how hard a job was it? You did it yourself? I had the same thing happen last spring and needed a B service on my car anyhow so had the dealer do it and ya, 450 for parts and like 250 Labor. You don't have the surround view camera option on the car? My car does not and thats the issue.

Remembering to TURN IT ON is the issue. Unlike most other vehicles, the Front camera will NOT turn on unless you Manually turn it on or go into reverse first...
I will be installing Curb Alert soon to activate the 360 cameras automatically, wife will have no excuse next time....

I did it on my w221, but will see if the module will work for the w222,. This isn't the best video, took it as low res, I have a better one somewhere. I think it's below 3 mph it comes on, or you can set it to come on with hitting one of the buttons on the steering wheel, but this is best choice, because you'll end up forgetting if you have to press a button, and then BOOM, or if you park overtop a parking curb, and when the airmatic releases, your front bumper could be on the curb by the time you get back to your car, and might pull off the bumper when you back out!

You know those little clear rubber bumpers you put on cupboard doors to keep them from slamming?
I stuck one on the 360 camera button. (My wife will not touch any but standard controls)
When parking it does not require looking down for the switch and easy to point it out for the wife to use.
The bad news so far is that it seems the 2019's do not have the switch anymore.
