I'm in the market for a 2015 or 2016 S550

I would like to confirm that a CD changer is included in both standard and optional sound system

Also, is a hard drive built in that will record from CD or other source?

I'm not aware of a single disc CD/DVD option available for the S550 (I could be wrong). I have a six disc CD/DVD changer and I do not have the 3D Burmester system; just the standard Burmester system. The car also has a 10 GB Media Register (built in HD) that you can record CDs, MP3s, and even videos to. Again, it's only 10 GB so you may be better off using an SD card or thumb drive. I have a 128 GB thumb drive in the center console and a 32 GB SD card in the slot within the CD/DVD changer, and have plenty of storage for media.
