Noisy wipers

Before anyone says, get new blades, my question is this. I have new blades and there is still a squeak/scrounch sound when employed in rain. Applying the washer fluid does help but only temporarily. Do I sand the edges? Try wax on blade edges? Anyone else have this problem?

mine were fine before MB changed them at my service after 8 months of use. The new ones are noisy and have been for a few months now.

A car
Use this. It's a little known trick and can extend the life of wiper blades to YEARS.

Funny, I buy this by the gallon now.... it is great for all weather stripping, doors, trunk, engine bay. This is the only stuff I also use on the tires. It leaves a nice Black Matt Finish, goes on easy. If you want a bit more of a shine, you just give it a second coat. The amount used is so little. the gallon should last several years easy.....

For your wiper issue, I would first Super Clean your glass. Use straight ammonia on the glass only, give it a good clay bar after. Also, MB dealers have a tool to make sure the blades are aligned properly. (arm angle)

I’ll add what I can here.
i noticed when I drive through the wash if I get the premium wash with all the sealers my wipers start making that loud squeegee noise.
So I do the one up from base wash, and micro fiber dryt the windshield after wash...no wiper useage. As mentioned, I also clean the windshield with Sparkle glass cleaner and 00 -000 steel wool to remove whatever it is that settles on it after a few weeks of driving. Hope this helps.

I actually just had my windshield replaced and suddenly the wipers were crazy noisy. Turns out the first aftermarket glass wasn't the acoustic type glass that came with the car. I didn't notice until they came out to replace that glass because it fit poorly. The replacement glass was aftermarket as well but had the word "acoustic" below and clearly had the athermic coating. Wipers are silent again. I was stunned at the difference in the wiper noise that is transmitted into the cabin between the two bits of glass.
