Extended warranty for 2015 S550

Are these Mercedes warranties ? I was a finance manager at a small lot in Va and I would sell S class warranties for about 3,600 but for 3 years. I'm wondering if this is the same warranty. All work was done by dealer and the warranty even covered you for a rental...

Had car in for service, Steering was making groaning sound. Not Covered Under CPO only 44k on the ticker. Lower Steering Linkage.... WTF.... $650- Part, $350- labor.... Nice Mercedes....

The extended warranty I purchased is from MB, 3rd party warranties are cheaper. I have had good luck with MB extended warranties and had issues with coverage from 3rd parties in the past. I’m sure there are good 3rd party companies as well as issues with coverage from MB extended warranties. My concern was with non-drivetrain repairs, those repairs can add up quickly, so I took a chance on the MB warranty. No warranty will cover everything and my experience has been your dealer can help get coverage with how they describe the claim with the submission.

I always get the MB extended warranty and never had a problem. At one point long time ago I had a 3 rd party warranty and always had an issue getting things covered.
