well keep your current one, but if you paint it, it will chip. I have gloss blk grills on my x5 ad there full plastic so no chipping and they look great.

Same here, I had a good experience will my fully blacked out X5 grill. Mounted perfect and looked great even after some rough winter driving.

Get the OEM one wrapped in black PPF from Stek, amazing product and unlike vinyl, it looks and feels like paint plus is coated so water beads right off.
